The Council on Aging, as a municipal agency, is not permitted to fund-raise. The Friends of the Council on Aging is a separate entity who’s primary objective is to raise money to support programs for the Council on Aging and the facilities that is uses. We have an annual appeal as well as many events throughout the year to raise funds. We are a licensed 501 (c) 3 organization so all donations are tax deductible.
The Friends of the Marblehead Council on Aging supports the Council on Aging and strengthens programs, services, and opportunities for Marblehead’s older adults. Through fundraising, membership, volunteerism, and community partnerships, we help enrich the lives of local seniors and support a welcoming, connected community.
